First things first, I want to work with you. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's get to know the woman behind the camera.

I'm Miranda Faye Everhart, the photographer behind Miranda Faye Photography, based in Lexington, North Carolina. Since 2009, I've built my career around the belief that no moment is too small to be remembered and no vision is too big to bring to life. From the intimacy of wedding days and the beautiful chaos of family life to the fast-paced world of NASCAR, my work has taken me in more directions than I ever imagined. While my portfolio is diverse, my approach remains the same: intentional imagery, genuine connection, and photographs that feel just as meaningful decades from now as they do today. Weddings and families will always hold a special place in my heart. There's something incredibly rewarding about documenting people's lives beyond a single session—watching couples become families, celebrating milestones, and turning clients into lifelong friends.

Where It All Began

Photography has always been more than a creative outlet for me. It's personal. My journey began at 17, when my grandparents gifted me my very first camera, a Nikon D40, during my senior year of high school. They believed in my passion before I fully understood where it could take me.

Not long after, my grandfather was diagnosed with brain cancer. Before he passed away, I took a simple photograph of him standing in the driveway. Nothing posed. Nothing elaborate. Just an ordinary moment that would become one of the most extraordinary photographs I'll ever own.

It was the last photograph taken of him. That single image changed the way I saw photography. It taught me that the most valuable photographs aren't necessarily the perfectly composed ones. They're the ones that take us back—to a person, a feeling, or a moment we wish we could experience just one more time. My business began as Faye Photography before evolving into Miranda Faye Photography. The name Faye is one I proudly share with my grandmother, Mona Faye. Keeping it at the center of my business is my way of honoring the two people who helped turn a teenage dream into a lifelong passion.

Today, my style is rooted in an editorial approach with an appreciation for authentic, unscripted moments. I love creating imagery that feels elevated and timeless without losing the personality, emotion, and little imperfections that make a story uniquely yours. Because years from now, I don't just want you to remember what everything looked like. I want you to remember how it felt. After all, a photograph is more than an image.
